FAQ
If your licence was issued in the EU, EEA, or in a country with a bilateral driving agreement with the Czech Republic (most of Europe, several Latin American countries, several US states, and others) — usually yes, sometimes with a short theory test. If it was issued elsewhere, you may need to retake both the theory and practical exam. Send us a photo of your licence and we'll confirm which track you're on.

Yes, until the day we hand in the original at the magistrát for exchange. Some non-EU drivers are also legally required to carry an international driving permit alongside their licence — we tell you whether that applies to you.
